2016 Vineyard Report(3) Eastern Foot of Helan Mountain:De-bury Work Starts,Temperature May Decline

As weather gets warm,debury work in the eastern foot of helan mountain region started.COFCO GreatWall Chateau Yunmo,Moet Hennessy Domaine Chandon (Ningxia)£¬Daylong Wine Group and Nongken Group all started.The earliest started from March 26th.But most chateaux haven't yet started,probably after Tomb-Sweeping Day(April 4th).
Recent Yinchuan Temperature
COFCO GreatWall Chateau Yunmo was among the earliest.The winery first planned on March 20th,but there were rains so they changed the time and started from March 26th.They used machine and labors,1.33 hectares per day and would be finished on April 10th.According to the climate change,they first debury young vins then aged vines,first Cabernet sauvignon and Merlot.
Since water conservancy project in place,the winery would build 266.7 hectares of new vineyards,located on the west side of the chateau,much closer to helan mountain.
New vineyards of Chateau Yunmo
Moet Hennessy Domaine Chandon (Ningxia) started on March 29th,first by machine then assisted by labor.The winery has earth temperature probe in vineyards,when temperature over 10 degrees,they will debury vines.
Other wineries near Yinchun haven't yet started.They are waiting for stable weather.But the weather in 15 days won't stable,there will be temperature drop on April 2nd and 3rd.The lowest temperature between 2-12¡æ¡£Then the weather will be warm. Most wineries will start after April 5th.
