The 16th China¡¤Qinhuangdao International Wine Festival will be held in Qinhuangdao city from August 8th to 30th.
Qinhuangdao starts organizing wine festival since 2000.It plays an important role in improving the region's reputation,wine brand image,wine sales and the industry investment.
There are many wine activites during the festival,including wine & food festival,wine edaucation and tasting,wine competition and a series of wine sales promotion and marketing events.And some wineries will offer free visits from 8th to 10th.In the city's five tourism scenic spots£¬like the beach and parks,grand wine tasting events will be held.
Qinhuangdao Changli region is the birthplace of China's first dry red wine.It has a long history of viticulture.Now it has 100,000 mus (6666.67 hectares) of
vineyards,mainly planted Cabernet Sauvignon.Others are Cabernet Franc,Merlot,Syrah,Chardonnay,etc.
"Changli Wines" is the first geographical indications protection products in China's wine industry."Huaxia GreatWall","Moutai",¡°Shangri-La¡±£¬¡°bodega-langes¡± are famous local wine brands.
Currently,there are 65 wine enterprises.Up to 85% of wine equipments are from France or Italy.Annual wine prodution has reached to 210,000 tons.Its red wines account for 26% of domestic market.
