On September 20th,48 winemakers from six continents gathered in the eastern foot of helan mountain wine region for the second Ningxia wine challenge.Another 12 foreign winemakers will arrive in the following days.

The challenge received applications of 151 winemakers from over 30 countries.And finally 60 were chosen for this competition.

On the start ceremony,48 international winemakers signed cooperation with 48 Ningxia wineries.The competition will last for 2 years.During this period,each winemakers will make at least 2 styles of wines,10,000 bottles of quality wines with the same wine grapes.On September 2017,all the wines will be judged for the gold medal on Ningxia eastern foot of helan mountain wine exposition.The gold medal wine will get reward of 100,000 yuan,silver wine 20,000 yuan.Also winemakers can take 2,000 bottles of wines to their countries for promotion.

A winemaker from New Zealand said,Ningxia has excellent wine grapes that can make top quality wines.It's great honor to join in this competition.
The competition will further improve the level of Ningxia winemaking,expand its influence both at home and abroad,and drive the sustainable development of wine industry.
