The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) has announced the nominees for its annual Educator of the Year award, which celebrates the achievements of WSET educators.
The winner will be announced at the annual WSET Awards and Graduation ceremony on 23 January
Sponsored by Riedel, the award recognises WSET Approved Programme Providers (APPs) and individual WSET certified educators, with the winner deemed to have best demonstrated a clear dedication and growth in delivering WSET¡¯s courses as well as innovation in wine and spirits education.
¡°WSET is experiencing phenomenal growth and it is our Approved Programme Providers and dedicated educators across the world that allow us to meet the demand for wine and spirits qualifications,¡± said Ian Harris, CEO of the WSET.
¡°Whilst we highly appreciate the work of all our educators, the selected nominees have truly gone above and beyond and we look forward to celebrating the winner at our Awards and Graduation in January.¡±
The winner will be decided by a panel of judges led by Harris, which will include Richard Bampfield MW, Laura Jewell MW of Wine Australia and Matt Knight of Riedel UK, and will be announced at the annual WSET Awards and Graduation ceremony on 23 January 2017.
