Three Grande Cuvees are being released in a special limited edition ID case
Fans of Krug Champagne can splash out this Christmas on a limited edition special gift box set that includes three bottles of Krug Grande Cuv¨¦e each with a different story behind the blend.
The three bottles are being presented in a special Krug Grande Cuv¨¦e ID case which has its own unique code assigned to each of the three bottles.
When the individual code is entered into Krug¡¯s website or mobile app it will bring up a wealth of information about that particular Champagne and how it has been made and blended.
Each bottle of Krug Grande Cuv¨¦e is made up of at least 120 different wines from more than 10 different vintages with some going back 20 years. Each bottle has spent at least six years in the cellar before being released and come from the base vintages of 2003, 2004 and 2005.
The ID code will include details of some of the 120 base wines that have been used in each bottle, as well as a report on the vintage of the base year, and when it was bottled.
It is the first time that Krug has released different Grande Cuv¨¦es at the same so that comparisons can be made in side-by-side tastings.
