After a day¡¯s fierce competition,Sommelier Tansy Zhao (Zhao Huaiqiang) from Shanghai Pudong Mandarin Oriental Hotel got the champion,Larry Yang (Yang Panke) from Beijing JW Marriott Hotel won the second place and Lucas Gao (Gao Fei) from Marriott Hotel won third place.
As the only professional competition targeted on staffs in catering industry,China National Sommelier Competition aims to improve Chinese Sommeliers professional knowledge,service level and their roles.Candidates from China¡¯s six different regions participated in preliminary contest and 10 excellent Sommeliers successfully entered the semi-final which held on September 10th.
The top three Sommeliers went through tests of wine menu error correction, quick ask and answer test, wine decanting and its service, several wines blind tasting and open and serve Mumm Champagne in required time.And Tansy Zhaow ill represent China to attend 2014 World Youth Sommelier Competition.
