Statistics showed that China¡¯s wine production increased by 40.8% to 418 thousand tons from January to July in 2009. Industry experts said that wine consumption in China is expected to boom in 2010 with the expansion of wine consumers.

According to the latest research from Vinexpo, China will become the seventh biggest wine consuming country in the world by 2012, with wine consumption expected to rise 36% to 1 billion bottles.Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu are the leading wine consumption cities in China mainland. France is still the largest source country of China¡¯s wine imports.

The price of spirit in China market is brought up during the end of the year, which gave more market space for wine sales. Furthermore, fashion element is another drive to push wine consumption growing.
